Tonight’s F1 Grand Prix of Austria will be interesting, with a Williams front row lock-out (P1: Massa; P2: Bottas). Williams were able to get the most out of the tyres, and heat them up, while everyone else struggled on colder tyres.
Mercedes had an eventful Q3, with Hamilton experiencing a rather strange rear lock-up, sending him spinning, and not able to set a time, and will start in P10.
Nico Rosberg wasn’t far behind Hamilton at the time, and had to slow down for yellow flags, and thus not able to better his time before the chequered flag.
Will Williams’ advantage of switching on the tyres be their downfall? Will they degrade quicker than Rosberg in P3? I’d still bet on Rosberg for the win.
